Rumored RF-S lenses

PhotoRumors has produced a list of rumored forthcoming RF-S lenses.

The rumored zooms are listed below.  I'm personally wondering if the 11-55 is a typo, and it's meant to be 11-22 which is a more "sane" zoom range for an ultra-wide, but if it's actually an 11-55, that would have me getting an RF APS-C camera no matter how much I hate the back of the R7.  That would be an incredibly useful zoom range for me at least.  The 16-55 would be a nice lens, but 15-55 would make more sense from a Canon crop factor versus a Sony/Fuji/Nikon crop factor, so we'll see on that one. In the past, Canon has usually gone with 15mm and not with 16mm when it comes to their APS-C crop lenses.

  • Canon RF-S 11-55mm f/4-4.5 IS STM
  • Canon RF-S 16-55mm f/2.8 IS USM
  • Canon RF-S 55-250mm f/4.5-7.1 IS STM

Also, the following two primes are rumored to be coming, I would imagine these will be direct copies from the EF-M lenses. This means both of these two lenses if they come, will be steller lenses optically.

  • Canon RF-S 32mm f/1.4 STM
  • Canon RF-S 22mm f/2 STM

These lenses haven't really been confirmed, and Canon hasn't said much so take the list as you will.  I think Canon will most likely hold off and see how well the cameras start to preorder before jumping on the RF-S lens train.
