Canon Patent Application: Organic Sensor

There has been a fairly logical progression in Canon's patent applications dealing with organic sensors over the last year, with newer patents being progressively more complex and detailed to an actual sensor design, where the earlier patents were dealing with the chemical compounds used for the organic layer that would convert light to signals.

This patent deals with adding phase detection pixels into an organic sensor.
