Canon Patent Application: Canon RF 14-35mm F4L mentioned
Another patent appliation from Canon has surfaced. This is a slightly different patent though, as it really doesn't define the lenses from a patent perspective, but is actually discussing a underwater housing for these lenses. The lenses are described as examples to the actual patent. But what I find curious is the lenses themselves, one of them have been clearly rumored to be coming in 2021. That is of course, the Canon RF 14-35mm F4. The lens is certainly mentioned in the patent in great detail, as much as you would expect from an actual optical patent.

Focal length 14.8 21.58 32.85
F number 4.1 4.1 4.58

This embodiment is also curious, as it's a 24mm F2.8 prime. It's pretty large though 79mm after you deduct the back focus distance.
