Canon Patent Application: Canon 400mm F8.0

This is a curious patent describing the 600mm and 800mm F11's. While that's not particularly interesting it seems that Canon may have another of these lenses in mind, a 400mm F8.  Of course with all these patents, the embodiments don't necessarily mean something is going to get created, however, it's a curious addition, and I'm sure there would be some interest in a slightly faster compact 400mm.
