Canon Autofocus patents

Canon has applied for some patents in the united states, as discrovered by northlight.

US Patent 09843783

This patent deals with the difficulty of the AF phase detect sensor from determining focus, if the lens has a high amount of chromatic abberations, and discusses ways to improve the focus accuracy with lenses with less than stellar CA handling.

US Patent 09843728

This patent deals with improving focus if manual focus is engaged.

US Patent 09843710

This patent is the most intriguing.  This deals with adding a secondary AF acquistion off of a Dual Pixel AF sensor to precisely control the focus.
