KolariVision PRO SLIM Filter Review

We've all head about B+W, Hoya, Lee, Cokin, etc filters and most likely we all have some of these filters already especially UV and ND filters.

In this review from EOSMirrorlessReviews, they go into Kolari Vision's filters for specially modified cameras that can shoot infrared.  We have long liked Kolari Vision, and actually, use some of these filters ourselves.

They conclude about KolariVision's filters;

While there are many filter options for normal standard IR of around 720nm.  You have Hoya, B+W, Tiffen and many others such as Chinese based filters.  Then, you have Kolari Vision, which offers the most complete range of IR and Hot mirror filters available in the market today.  You can get the more economical standard filters or the PRO SLIM filters.  We highly recommend the PRO SLIM family of filters, because of the choice, consistency, and quality of both the filter itself, the filter ring and threads.  Using the thin filters allows us to have stacking options that simply other IR filters do not have, without causing vignetting.

How to view Japan Patent applications.

Unfortunately, there's no direct way of linking to the patent application (sad!) however, this is the easiest process to view a japan patent or application.

  1. Go to the Japan Patent Office search page.
  2. If it's a patent application (they are usually in the format of Year-Number ie: 2017-011300) then type the patent application number into the second field down from the top where it says publication of patent application.
  3. Click on search.
  4. Then click on the patent application number link, and there's the patent application!
