Canon Rumors: More information on the new style of Camera

I'm now intrigued.

Canon Rumors has posted more information on what this camera could be and it's now meeting up with possibly two different patents in which we found.

Canon Rumors states;

A breakdown of what we’ve been told, I’ve labeled the sources 1 (original) & 2 (new):

  • Removable grip (1)
  • The body has two scroll wheels like a pro Canon DSLR (1)
  • Two versions of the camera (2)
  • Bigger camera is EF/EF-S (2)
  • Smaller camera is EF-M (2)
  • Canon is working on a new EF/EF-S to EF-M adaptor to make Cinema lenses fully compatible with the EF-M mount camera. (2)

The adapter caught my eye because we found an adapter that sounds just like this.  It allows for removing the steps between apeture stops so that you have smooth adjustment of aperture on any EF lens and a built in ND filter and is specifically for video applications.

Stay tuned!

How to view Japan Patent applications.

Unfortunately, there's no direct way of linking to the patent application (sad!) however, this is the easiest process to view a japan patent or application.

  1. Go to the Japan Patent Office search page.
  2. If it's a patent application (they are usually in the format of Year-Number ie: 2017-011300) then type the patent application number into the second field down from the top where it says publication of patent application.
  3. Click on search.
  4. Then click on the patent application number link, and there's the patent application!
