Voice command coming to a Canon camera?

We have uncovered an interesting patent discussing voice command and input into a digital camera.  This is to get around not having a remote control, as it allows for command operation of the camera without touching a dial, button, etc and this prevents camera shake.

In the imaging device, in order to avoid photographing errors, such as a shaking hand, it is important to maintain HOLD status, HOLD status is not changed, but the operational operating system is searched for. In order not to miss a momentary shooting chance, it is called for that a various function can be set up without removing eyes from an object or a display device.

However, with functional diversification of an imaging device, an operating system is complicated and the situation which misses a shooting chance without the ability to find the situation where it cannot be operated with HOLD status maintained, and a desired manual operation button, in an instant has arisen in recent years.

Voice input operation has been put in practical use in recent years as effective technology which eliminates such a situation. Voice input operation is technology which recognizes the input sound and validates predetermined operation. If voice input operation is used, it will become possible to operate it by simple work, without looking for a manual operation button.

There has been some third party tools for this, but it would be novel for our cameras to be able to do this without needing a tethered device either by wifi or by wire tether.
