CanonNews / Monday, January 13, 2020 / Categories: Rumors, Canon Mirrorless Two new Canon RF camera bodies coming out this year According to Canon Rumors, two new Canon RF camera bodies are coming out this year. We know that a high-resolution RF camera is coming, and this seems to be confirming that the second more upscale version of the EOS R is also coming. Personally I think this makes a lot of sense, and I would imagine that both of these cameras will share the same DNA with different sized sensors. Think of these two cameras as the "5D" line of the Canon RF mount lineup. This would also go in line with what has been said about both the high resolution EOS-RF mount camera having dual card slots and IBIS, as well as the new rumor about the EOS R Mark II - which the rumor states may be renamed. We've been saying all along that there's too big of a gap between an EOS R and a 1 series camera body, that Canon will inject at least one more lineup in between the two, and it seems so far as if Canon will do exactly that. If you notice, we're trying to take a different naming approach than most other sites. We feel that EOS R is a camera, not indicative of the line and that the EOS RF or Canon RF is really the lineup.
