Richard / Tuesday, July 6, 2021 / Categories: Rumors, Canon Mirrorless The Canon R5c is coming in early 2022 Canon is apparently over everyone complaining about the Canon R5's overheating, so they are coming out with a R5c with better heat dissipation and likely a larger and heavier camera body. According to CanonRumors, this camera was supposed to have been announced for NAB which is in October this year, but will be pushed back into the first quarter of 2022. This camera is expected to have active heat dissipation (aka a fan). It is possible that it will retain its weather sealing or Canon may decide that active cooling without weather sealing is the most optimum method of controlling the heat in this camera. If there is no weather sealing, I guess at least Youtube will have something to lose their minds over. It's also supposed to include a full-sized HDMI port and more codec options than the EOS-R5.
