CanonNews / Monday, April 12, 2021 / Categories: Rumors, Canon Lenses Product images of the Canon RF 400mm F2.8L IS USM and the Canon RF 600mm F4.0L IS USM have appeared Product images of the Canon RF 400mm F2.8L IS USM and the Canon RF 600mm F4.0L IS USM have appeared. New information as well on the prices for US retailers has also been released; with the 400mm for $11999, and 600mm $12999. This is the same pricing as the EF versions of the lenses. Both seem to support a drop in rear filter (no great surprise there). But no more details are known at this time but we'll be updating this article as more information becomes available. Interestingly there doesn't seem to be a distance scale anymore on the lens. Here is the Canon EF 400mm F2.8L IS USM III (top) with the RF version (below). These aren't exactly to scale. However, it certainly appears is if the two versions are significantly similar to each other in terms of layout. There doesn't seem to be a dedicated control ring on the RF version, somewhat of a suprise. Given the fact that details of all three lenses (the two big whites and the 100mm Macro) have leaked I would not be that all surprised to see an announcement this week.
