A new rumor from Canon Rumors states that one of the lenses that seem to have been confirmed is a Canon RF 300mm 2.8L IS USM. Intriguing the source also claims that this lens has a new feature not seen before. We have covered some interesting patents from Canon, such as dual linear motor drive, and teleconverters, but none of them have really been for a super telephoto prime. We'll have to be on a lookout for any clues to what they may be. Some mentioned the patent we discovered that had switchable teleconverters - but this is in error, as this patent deals specifically with the case that Canon does not want to add teleconverters to the lens because of bulk and weight. Time will tell. It's pretty far out for any specifics, as Canon hasn't even released all the lenses they are supposed to for this year yet.
