CanonNews / Friday, April 26, 2019 / Categories: Rumors, Canon Mirrorless, Canon Powershot New Rumor: Canon to announce another camera very soon A new rumor has surfaced that Canon is about to launch a new camera soon. The source doesn't know what the camera is, howver the source goes on to surmise that it could be either a Powershot or an EOS-M. I would be more likely to be inclined to think that it would be a powershot camera if one is coming out for May, versus an EOS-M camera. Of course, it could be an EOS-M camera that has been "M50-ed" much like the SL3. The SL3 simply added 4K video via a new DIGIC 8 processor to the camera and not much more. We do know that a G7X Mark III was certainly scheduled to be released since images of the camera have leaked a long time ago. It's certainly due, and give us quite probably a glimpse into the future to what the M5 Mark II will contain in terms of functionality and sensor, as rumors also suggest that this contains a Canon made 1" dual pixel auto focus sensor. Time will tell.
