Canon Speedlight EL-1 coming soon

A new speedlite has been mentioned for a while now, and it was supposed to be launched (according to rumor) with the R5.  The naming of this speedlite is curious, "EL-1" which isn't in Canon's usual speedlite naming.

This makes me wonder if this Speedlite as we've seen from some patents, also will have continuous lighting were having the name indicate the guide number is no longer really relevant.

This speedlite is also coming with accessories named ("SCF-EL", "SBA-EL" and "LP-EL"), again, a little unusual for a Canon speedlite.  We'll see how this all appears soon as this speedlite is now in Canon's product list, release should be shortly.
