Then I realized that this patent has to show some of the most incredible fast primes that Canon has tried to patent since at least I've been looking at them. We have three incredible lens designs; 16mm F1.4 18mm F1.2 24mm F1.2 and one more lens with little practical use because the back focus is way too short, but wow.. 18mm F1.0 Then again, this is Canon - they may give you a special back lens cap and call it good - just because they can. The actual lens characteristics are as follows; focal length 18.51 F-number 1.24 half angle of view (degree) 49.45 Image height 21.64 Total lens length 129.00 BF 16.40 focal length 24.59 F-number 1.24 half angle (in degrees) 41.35 Image height 21.64 Total lens length 129.01 BF 13.57 focal length 16.42 F-number 1.43 Half angle of view (degree) 52.80 Image height 21.64 Lens total length 133.46 BF 13.55 focal length 18.50 F-number 1.03 Half angle of view (degrees) 49.47 Image height 21.64 Lens total length 150.00 BF 4.99 Canon may not be done with the ultra fast primes quite yet.
