CanonNews / Monday, December 27, 2021 / Categories: Canon Patents Canon Patent Application: Canon RF Primes One thing that is notably missing is the filling out of the primes for the RF mount. Not just the dizzyingly fast halo primes, but the ones for normal people. This patent application discusses aberration correction when its close focus and has the embodiments of a lot of lenses that I know people want to see. Of course with any patent application, the embodiments are just that - examples. But it does show that Canon is certainly thinking and researching these primes. All these primes are complicated designs, and also pretty large. These are not your small Zuiko full frame primes (which I would love to see).
