CanonNews / Friday, February 19, 2021 / Categories: Canon Patents Canon Patent Application: Another Vlogging Patent Application I'm simply amazed that the patent applications continue to pile up for this this handheld vlogging device. If you haven't been following we were the first to find the patent applications for this device here and here. This makes the ninth patent application for this device, the most I've seen outside of perhaps IBIS. I'm starting to wonder if Canon isn't trolling me. This patent application introduces a lock so that when you are taking off the lens or putting a new one on, the entire device doesn't swing around randomly as you are trying to mount the lens. Effectively making life easier when switching lenses. You can see from the above diagram how Canon would expect you to handle the device when swapping a lens. Could this be a new EOS-M device hinted at in a prior rumor? Maybe.
