We have another patent application, this time, for another superzoom, a 24-300mm F4-5.6. This embodiment was in a patent that described the Canon RF 24-105mm F4.0L and Canon RF 24-70mm F2.8. While there are similarities to the Canon RF 24-240mm, the optical formula is more complex, so this could be an RF equivalent of the Canon EF 28-300mm F3.5-5.6L IS USM. It shows that Canon is certainly continuing to design interesting lenses for the Canon RF mount. Lens particulars for this embodiment are; Focal length 24.72 90.83 290.86 F-number 4.12 5.00 5.88 Angle of view 41.19 13.40 4.25 Image height 21.64 21.64 21.64 Total lens 165.57 210.57 255.57 BF 14.37 32.56 30.89 Japan Patent Application 2019-219679 Canon registers a new lens for 2020 Happy New Year from CanonNews Print 4157 Tags: Canon RF Canon Patent Application Lens More links via Hi-Low Notes Related articles Patent Application for Canon RF 16-28mm F2.8, 16-28mm F2.8-4 and 16-28mm F4 designs ICYMI: Canon RF 100mm F2.8L IS Macro Review TDP Reviews the Canon RF-S 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM Meyer Optik Görlitz adds native Canon RF to its lens lineup Deal of the Day: Lensbaby 85mm F1.8 for Canon RF and Canon EF Please enable JavaScript to view the comments powered by Disqus.blog comments powered by Disqus
