RYN Photography has been using the EOS R for a month as his main camera and here are his thoughts on the EOS R and if he felt it was a big mistake getting the EOS R. It's an older video that I missed at the time, but still relevant if you are considering an EOS R as I know there's still quite a few people (like me) wondering if the EOS R is the right camera for them. Liked the EVF after getting used of it. Especially for video recording. The eye detection for the EVF a bit fussy when attached to a gimbal Battery life has been good No issues using EF lenses with it Favorite feature / button is the m.fn button Hasn't found the touchbar too useful Flip screen has been fantastic Ergonomics in general, felt better than the 5D Mark IV after a while Left camera out in the rain, EVF fogged up but otherwise was fine Has had occasional lockups (three times) in burst mode Verdict: If you have an EOS R and want to trade it for an 5D Mark IV, talk to him. He likes the R more than his 5D Mark IV.
