CanonNews / Wednesday, May 8, 2019 / Categories: Rumors, Canon Mirrorless Canon EOS-M5 and EOS-M6 marked as "clearance" by Canon UK In an odd twist, Canon UK just put the EOS M5 and the EOS M6 for sale as clearance. While there have been a ton of rumors swirling around the EOS-M5's possible replacement there hasn't been any significant information released to suggest that an M5 Mark II is imminent. The M5 which was announced back on September 15, 2016, getting an update makes a lot of sense. Nearing 3 years old is "ancient" in terms of the fast upgrade cycles of mirrorless. Also, the M5 has fallen behind in terms of AF and video performance to the popular EOS-M50. It's hard to say if the same isn't happening over in North America because right now there are significant spring discounts happening. Right now the EOS-M5 is $200 off for $579 and only $899 with the stellar 18-150mm.
