CanonNews / Monday, February 26, 2018 / Categories: News, Canon DSLR Canon announces the cheapest DSLR ever made - the 4000D in Europe / Asia Lost in the USA news of the EOS-M50 and EOS 2000D here in north america, across the ocean, Canon also announced the 4000D, an even more stripped down version of the 2000D. Yes, I bet you didn't think it was possible to do so. Essentially the changes are the 18MP sensor and the mount is plastic versus the metal mounts used by all the other DSLR's. Canon in it's film past has used plastic mounts before, but this is the first time that they have done so with a DSLR. No word on whether or not the 4000D will ever hit North American shores.
