CanonNews / Monday, May 25, 2020 / Categories: Rumors, Canon Mirrorless Canon announcements in June / July While I'm somewhat surprised that Canon hasn't kept to a "PhotoKina" timeline which would have had some announcements this week - hardly anyone else is announcing things either. A new rumor from CanonRumors suggests that we'll hear major announcements in June and July now. Of course, everything is in a state of flux because of COVID-19, and also the fact that there's a disruption in both the supply chain and also at Canon headquarters as well. As far as we know, there's the R5 and R6 that are due to be announced and a certain possibility of a new flash and some lenses as well. The rumor also suggest that initial availability could be in July. This fits in with Canon's overall schedule of having the R5 out sometime before the Olympics. So perhaps things aren't so delayed. No more information is available, especially pricing - which may be the last thing that is decided given the state of the global economic conditions right now.
